I can only partially agree with ...Wow-what a post! I can only partially agree with you on the Obama front: I do believe/hope that his greatest strength is that of uniter, and pray that he can do that well. I am probably the ONLY Conservative to get in and out of UNC in the 1980s! I have rarely voted straight ticket as well, and I also believe that very little changes because who is president. With that said, I sure like Obama better than McCain, even though I think McCain would be a better president, except for his foreign relations stance. Oh, well, we see how this goes.

Congrats on your little league team-we need many, many good coaches at this level to teach what parents will not: sometimes life hurts and you don't always win. Even when you try hard.

Finally, praying for your wife has slipped my mind (since my blog slipped my mind, so has most of what is on there!), and I will begin doing so again tonight. And you and your son and your grandson. I hope things are easing up for you.

Thanks for checking out my blog again. I can't even get my mom to check it out! So you make my day when you comment. Thanks again!Displaced Heelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05598177150046972913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007103630605762142.post-38278356171694654812008-12-18T23:29:00.000-05:002008-12-18T23:29:00.000-05:00Touche, Dog.That was kinda what I was getting at -...Touche, Dog.
That was kinda what I was getting at - he is still just a politician, and ALL politicians are more concerned with the next election than they are with what's truly best for the common folks of this nation.
I do hope it's a bit of an improvement over the all-but-royalty of the Bush regime. For a New England bred Yalie from one of the powerful families in the country, he sure did a good job of selling himself as a good-ol'-boy from Texas.
Let's all pray to whomever we pray to that Obama gets a little help from above. He's gonna need it - we all do.SoSockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15982944966573089279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007103630605762142.post-70550915453157452052008-12-01T17:00:00.000-05:002008-12-01T17:00:00.000-05:00Well, I will hope for the best, but I think a lot ...Well, I will hope for the best, but I think a lot of folks will end up more disappointed than not. He's a politician, whatever his skin color.Suldoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07778845367184916684noreply@blogger.com
